There are so many highlights in this fascinating country that it is impossible to list them all here. Our travel consultants will discuss your interests and be able to put a specific itinerary together for you, but below are a few must seeās!
TiƩbƩlƩ
Set in the heart of the green and low-lying Kassena country, 40km east of PƓ on a dirt track, TiƩbƩlƩ, is famous for its Sukhala. Colourful, windowless traditional houses, painted by women in geometrical shapes of red, black and white guinea-fowl feathers. These houses offer an antidote to the monochrome mudbrick villages found elsewhere in Burkina Faso.
Ouagadougou
Ouagadougou the nationās capital or Ouaga, as it’s affectionately dubbed, is a thriving, metropolis, resplendent with dance, live bands and theatre companies. The town has a busy festival schedule and beautiful handicrafts. Its streets are a lively, dusty mix of concrete and red roads, thousands of mopeds, street-peddlers and exuberant life that more than makes up for the capital’s lack of significant sights.
Banfora
Banfora may appear as a sleepy town, but it is best described as one of the most beautiful areas in Burkina Faso. It makes an ideal base for exploring the lush surrounding countryside: scaling up the magnificent DƓmes de Fabedougou and taking a dip in the KarfiguƩla Falls and a boat ride on TengrƩla Lake
