Kahuzi-BiĆ©ga National Park established in 1970 by Adrien Deschryver, a Belgian photographer and conservationist, rank with Dian Fossey as one of the great protectors of the worldā€™s endangered gorilla population

This vast park named after two dormant volcanoes located within its limits, Mount Kahuzi and Mount Biega, both mountainous and lowland terrain are situated within the park boundaries. Covered with a tropical forest protecting a wide range of flora and fauna, including species of mammals, birds, and more than 1,170 plant species.
