Equatorial Guinea - Oasis Highlights

There are so many highlights in this fascinating country that it is impossible to list them all here. Our travel consultants will discuss your interests and be able to put a specific itinerary together for you, but below are a few must seeā€™s!

BATA

Bata lies on the Atlantic Ocean coast of Rio Munia, and the town is a transport hub and port, from which ferries sail to Malabo and Douala and is a charming colonial town with many attractions and plenty of restaurants, bars and hotels.

MALABO

A lively cosmopolitan city, downtown youā€™ll find evidence of its colonial past when this town was first the British naval station of Port Clarence on lease from Spain, later renamed Santa Isabel when it was returned to Madrid.

MONTE TEMELƓN NATURAL RESERVE

Sandwiched between the border of Cameroon and the rising highlands forming the heart of the Rio Muni, the Monte TemelĆ³n Natural Reserve is an overlooked section of backcountry ripe for exploration. Best known for a vast array of fauna, sprawling 1,200 square kilometres in vast swathes of greenery, you will be delighted by the mist swirling over the canopies atop the trees, and spy crocodiles lurking on the muddy banks of whirling rivers. The shy, harmless giant pangolin is endemic in this magical place. These fascinating mammals wholly-covered in scales use those scales to protect themselves from predators in the wild.
