Kenya - Oasis Highlights

There are so many highlights in this fascinating country that it is impossible to list them all here. Our travel consultants will discuss your interests and be able to put a specific itinerary together for you, but below are a few must seeā€™s!

Nairobi

Nairobi known as the safari capital of Africa, is surrounded by 113 kmĀ² of plains, cliffs and forest that makes up the city’s Nairobi National Park. Tourists can have their pick from numerous safaris, be it wildlife, cultural, sport, adventure, scenic or specialist ecotourism tours, restaurants, culture, shopping and entertainment. You can also engage in numerous sports, from golf, rugby, athletics, polo, horse racing, cricket and football/soccer.

MASAI MARA NATIONAL PARK

Masai Mara National Reserve is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Africa. Located in the Great Rift Valley in primarily open grassland, wildlife tends to be most concentrated on the reserveā€™s western escarpment. Nowhere in Africa is wildlife more abundant, and it is for this reason; a visitor hardly misses to see the big five-buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, and rhino.

AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

Famous for its big game and its great scenic beauty, the landscape is dominated by the towering Mount Kilimanjaro. The National Park embodies five principal wildlife habitats-open plains, acacia woodland, rocky thorn bush country, swamps and marshland and covers part of a Pleistocene lake basin, now dry. Within this basin is a temporary lake, Lake Amboseli, that floods during years of heavy rainfall.
