One of the rare sites to continuously be inhabited dating back to the 6th millennium B.C, and one of the oldest cities in the world, Byblos ancient inhabitants originally called this city, Jubla and later Jebal.

The Greeks named it Byblos or “Papyrus” around 1200 B.C, and today a very charming city distinguished by its neighbourhoods dates back to the Middle Ages with numerous historical sites and ruins.
