Thailand - Oasis Highlights

It is hard to really recommend highlights for Thailand has it has so many! But our choice is as follows ā€“

Bangkok

Whether a first time visitor or old hand, Bangkok always has the capability of providing new experiences. This great city has so much to offer including great restaurants, some of the worldā€™s best hotels, fabulous nightlife, a cultural feast for the senses and some of the worlds best shopping.

Chiang Mai
Thailandā€™s second city and gateway to the delights of Northern Thailand, maybe a fraction of the size of its illustrious big brother but it can certainly pack a big punch. With incredible accommodation (the Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi Chiang Mai rates as one of the worlds best resorts not just one of Thailandā€™s), a dazzling selection of restaurants and for the culture vultures – temples on every corner – this city should not be missed.

Krabi

Thailand has a lot to offer on the beach front, but Krabi is without doubt our favourite beach retreat. Away from the tourist crowds found in Phuket and Koh Samui, Krabi trundles along at a much more relaxed pace. But hurry, the secret is out, as there are more and more hotel planned to be opening over the coming years. However, up to now development has been out of sight and non-disruptive leaving you free to relax on some of the planets finest pure white sand beaches.

Sukhothai

Set in lush parkland you will find the peaceful lotus ponds, carved Buddha images and ancient crumbling ruins of Sukhothai a true delight. So few tourists make the slight detour to get here that you will feel like you have the place to yourself. A morning exploring, either on foot or by bicycle will live long in the memory. Just remember to take your camera!

Cooking Classes

Take home the flavours of Thailand and impress your friends by taking a morning to learn the ancient secrets of Thai cooking. Think aromatic flavours such as chillies, lemon grass, lime juice, coconut milkā€¦..let an expert lead you through the techniques and recipes that will allow you to knock up a Phad Thai or traditional red, green or yellow curry in no time!
We can add in a cooking course in most destinations, just ask for details.

Grand Palace and Wat Pho

No matter how many times you have been before, the Grand Palace and Wat Pho in Bangkok are always breath taking. After wandering through the mirrored glass and marble minarets of the former palace head to Wat Pho ā€“ part of the same complex ā€“ and take a massage from one of the students at the massage school. A perfect way to spend the day!

Thailandā€™s National Parks

Thailand has a wealth of National Parks in all areas of the country, so getting close to nature is easily accessible from most of the more well known destinations. You can explore by jeep or on foot and depending on how adventurous you are it is even possible to stay under canvas (in fixed luxury tents of course!) deep in the forests and jungles. You can swim in pure rivers and might even see wild elephants or gibbons if youā€™re lucky, but we guarantee you will always take away fond memories of the spectacular scenery!
