Nick Page

Prior to co-founding Oasis Travel, Nick worked with some of the UK’s most successful tour operators. He was responsible for the product selection, research and management of hundreds of key suppliers throughout Asia, Africa, South America, the South Pacific, Australia and New Zealand.

Nick has travelled and worked in 5 continents; trekking in Nepal and India, teaching in Taiwan, on luxury safari in Southern Africa, hand-gliding over Rio and taking every opportunity that he could to experience as many of the countries in the world as he can. He studied Southeast Asian studies at a university in the UK and completed a year of his studies in Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand.

Nick has learnt the Thai language and often surprises locals with his understanding not only of the language but the history and culture of Thailand and Southeast Asia.

Avril Carter

Prior to co-founding Oasis Travel Avril spent 3 years working in the luxury travel industry in London representing some of the most luxurious hotels & resorts around the world. Before this, Avril worked in the Australian travel industry for a major long-haul tour operator and also worked on the opening team for the world’s first Versace hotel.

Avril has travelled to over 25 countries in the world, and recently spent time exploring Cambodia and Vietnam en route home from the UK where she saw the sunset over Angkor Wat and decided that she would be returning again and again to this very special and spiritual place.

Ed Miles

Ed has worked in the travel industry for over 20 years and joined Oasis in 2013 to set up and manage the Latin American department. He has travelled, guided and lived throughout South America and has a special affinity for Chile where he spent 3 years guiding, leading and organising tours.

Rod Dyksman

Rod is an accomplished and experienced travel and hotel industry individual, having dedicated over a decade to this field. His expertise and knowledge are evident in the various regions he has explored, including North America, Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Since joining Oasis in 2019, he has broadened his horizons and actively shared his experiences with others. His passion for travel is contagious, and he takes great pleasure in imparting his knowledge and enthusiasm to fellow travellers.

Paula Done

Paula’s two-decade odyssey in the travel industry is a rich tapestry of experiences, woven with a particular passion for wildlife. She honed her skills with the UK’s premier tour operator before embarking on an adventure Down Under, where she now lends her expertise to the Oasis Travel team. Along the way, Paula has immersed herself in the vibrant cultures of France & Spain, planted trees and taught children in Ecuador, attended carnivals from the world famous Rio de Janeiro carnival to the intimate local carnival at Coroico, Bolivia. She has stayed with hill tribes in Thailand and with local communities in a longhouse in Borneo.
Amongst others, some of her adventures include visiting geysers and stargazing in Chile, swimming with sea lions in the Galapagos, experiencing the incredible wildlife of the Pantanal, flying over the stunning Iguacu falls in a helicopter, witnessing cremations in Varanasi, watching turtles laying their eggs in Costa Rica, picking tea leaves in Sri Lanka and cleaning beaches in the remote Andaman islands.
