Hidden among the soaring peaks of the Pyrenees, Andorra offers far more than its compact size might suggest. Set between France and Spain, the principality combines dramatic mountain scenery with a distinctive Catalan identity shaped over more than 700 years of independence.
Established as a co-principality in 1278, Andorra remains the only country governed by two co-princes: the President of France and the Bishop of Urgell in Spain. Beyond the capital, Andorra la Vella, travellers will find Romanesque churches, traditional stone villages, forested valleys and excellent skiing and walking trails.
