La Comarca is a charming boutique hotel and small resort set deep in the Quebrada de Humahuaca gorge. Constructed in perfect harmony with the natural environment, the hotel honours traditional architecture blending local materials such as adobe bricks, regional stone and cactus wood into its design. Inside, the decor is rustic yet homely in keeping with the overall character, furnished with earthy tones and traditional handicrafts. The restaurant fuses regional and international cuisine and offers dishes ranging from local empanadas (pasties) and humitas en chalas (fresh corn cakes) to llama meat carpaccio and trout from the Yala lagoons.
