MV Ventus Australis

Chile - Patagonia Cruises – Chile

Named after Tierra del Fuegoā€™s distinctive ā€œSouthern Windā€, the Ventus Australis is the flagship of the Australis fleet, a deluxe state-of-the-art cruiser launched in early 2018.

The wonderful Ventus Australis, together with its sister-ship – the Stella Australis, operates 4 night cross-border cruises to/from the ports of Punta Arenas, Chile and Ushuaia, Argentina navigating the breathtaking Patagonian fjords and channels of the Darwin range.

Inside, the ship is modern and spacious with oversized picture windows to accentuate the views. Identical to the Stella Australis, the 100 en-suite cabins span 3 decks and cater to a maximum of 210 guests. The cabins are contemporary in style, furnished with warm, neutral colours and fall within 6 categories depending on the deck. Four of the categories, cabins B to AAA, are identical in size while superior cabins AA and AAA are more generous, 20.5mĀ² with floor to ceiling windows.

Dining is a formal affair with the restaurant focussing on traditional Patagonian dishes divided between a buffet lunch and set menu dinner.

The Ventus Australis offers 4 night cruises through the breathtaking southern fjords including a stop at Cape Horn (weather permitting). Each day, guests head out on zodiac boat trips accompanied by expert guides to take in spectacular icebergs, glaciers and wildlife.
