Armenia

Armenia, a mountainous country in the South Caucasus, lies at the crossroads of Europe and Asia. It is an ancient and proud civilisation dating back to 782 BC. Remote churches dot this majestic landscape of deep gorges, while history lovers will be intrigued by the country’s complex and somewhat tragic past.

To the North, the country is neighbours with Georgia, and in the North-East and South-West with Azerbaijan. To the east of Armenia is the border with the Republic of Artsakh, and to the west is Turkey, with Iran to the south.

The country encompasses the best of Europe and Asia, combining the two into a mix of unforgettable experiences. Mountain valleys, extinct volcanoes and rapid rivers make for magnificent scenery. Unsurprisingly, in Ancient Armenia, people once worshipped nature as the landscapes and the wildlife are hard to forget.

With so much to explore, one visit is just never enough!
