Nestled at the heart of a lush valley surrounded by the breathtaking sandstone cliffs, waterfalls and tropical forests, the Refugio Los Volcanes is a charming yet rustic lodge in a picture-postcard setting, the perfect base for exploring the Amboró National Park. Although admittedly basic with limited services, there is little to detract from the glorious views and incredible bio-diversity – an area where the Andes collides with the tropical dry forest of the Chaco and the steamy Amazon basin. Activities range from birding and nature safaris to exploring wild-waterfalls and hiking the 15km of trails that surround the property.
