Three hours’ drive from Campo Grande, southern gateway to Brazil’s great Pantanal wetlands, the crystal clear waters and limestone caves of Brazil’s Serra do Bodoquena attract visitors from far and wide. At its heart, the small town and tourist centre of Bonito offers a wide range of thrilling eco-adventures from hiking, caving and biking to rafting, paddling and riding. Most famous of all are the snorkel float trips. Here, guests have the chance to drift in the currents of the River Prata alongside large schools of dourados and local species of fish while capuchin monkeys and even tapir watch from the leafy banks.
