WHY WE LIKE THIS HOTEL

The elegant, white-washed Casa Brancas has a charming, laid-back Mediterranean feel with a sweeping ocean-facing terrace and tiered levels that tumble down the hillside. The rooms are spread across a mix of older and newer wings linked by leafy courtyards and winding stairways and are all modern and comfortable. Most of the rooms overlook the sea while the deluxe rooms and suites benefit from a balcony or terrace, a perfect spot to wind down at the end of the day. Buzios has no shortage of restaurants yet dine at Casa Brancas and you can pick between the French/Brazilian fusion of the Café Atlantico served on the terrace overlooking the bay or the excellent seafood and Italian cuisine of the “Deck”. For sun worshippers not wishing to venture far, there is an attractive pool ringed with sun-loungers or you may prefer to head for to the spa to pamper yourself with a range of treatments. Away from the hotel, you can take boat trips around the bay, hire a buggy to explore the peninsula or take advantage of Buzios’ excellent shops and nightlife. Although a short walk to the nearest beach, the Casa Brancas is an attractive mid-range option in Buzios that would suit both couples and honeymooners alike.
