WHY WE LIKE THIS HOTEL

The retreat features African-inspired safari tents built on a pontoon which were the first floating tents in the world. Bearing a strong resemblance to luxury African Safari tents each villa is furnished to a high standard and features a large sunlounger balcony, perfect for enjoying a cocktail on and watching the sunset. A later addition were the Island Family Tents that are situated on the riverbank in a lush garden, some 5-10 meters from the water. At 65sqm, they are a more spacious and child-friendly version of the floating tents.
Facilities at Canvas & Orchids Retreat include the on-site restaurant which offers an eclectic mix of both Western and Asian cuisine with an emphasis made on local produce obtained from nearby markets. The lodge also offers a superb choice of activities and tours including kayaking, nature walks and trips to local villages.
The Canvas & Orchids Retreat is a real success, bringing luxurious, environmentally aware, boutique style accommodation to the remote wilderness of Cambodia. One of our firm favourites in the country!
