WHY WE LIKE THIS HOTEL

Set amidst 11,000 acres, Viña Vik is among the most ambitious projects in the country, a winery that offers cutting edge design with world-class gastronomy and service. Inside, no two rooms are the same and each feature exclusive art and design work that range in theme from traditional Chilean with cactus wood and adobe bathroom to classic French period drama and to modernist expression – it is not often that we recommend a tour of the rooms as well as the vineyard! Gastronomy is held under equal esteem and under head chef Rodrigo Acuña Bravo’s direction, Viña Vik delivers delicious recipes using ingredients sourced entirely from the surrounding area. Menus are decided according to the produce available and include traditional Chilean barbeque “asados”, fresh fish and seafood and locally-grown fruits all served in the restaurant or on the outside terraces overlooking the vines. The main focus of the lodge is of course wine but vineyard tours aside, there is a wide range of activities which include riding, mountain biking and trekking, to simply relaxing around the lap pool, indulging in the spa or enjoying the winery’s exquisite collection of contemporary artwork and sculptures.
