The M/N Skorpios II is a handsome expedition ship constructed in 1988 which offers breathtaking cruises though the Patagonian fjords south of Puerto Montt to reach the magnificent Laguna San Rafael Glacier.
Designed to carry a maximum of 130 passengers, the Skorpios merges warm, wooden panels and traditional fittings with picture windows and allows open access to all areas including the engine room, bridge and galley. There are 55 simple, en suite cabins with plasma screen TV’s spread across 5 decks
The two lounge/restaurants deliver a classic service with an open bar and hearty Chilean meals.
The Skorpios II offers 5 night cruises to explore the wonderful wildlife and scenery of the Chonos archipelago departing Puerto Montt every Saturday. Upon arrival at the Laguna San Rafael, guests head out on smaller jet boats accompanied by expert local guides to navigate through the multi-coloured icebergs to reach the icy face of the glacier.
The latest itinerary is as follows:-
