To arrive, guests raft in through the river’s steep canyon walls negotiating an exhilarating series of class 2-3 rapids. Wildlife, adventure and simple luxury at the heart of the Talamanca mountains! Pacuare Lodge is the perfect destination for honeymooners and indulgent adventure enthusiasts alike. Candle-lit at night, the lodge is hugely atmospheric and likely to be the highlight of any trip to Costa Rica. Meals are taken in the open sided main lodge overlooking the river and are surprisingly good despite its remote location – fresh locally sourced ingredients and flavours all washed down with South American wine. Rafting aside, activities range from bird-watching, hiking and riding to canopy adventures and canyoning. And then why not end the day with a relaxing massage?
