The medieval town of Ozalj is situated on a gorge overlooking the river Kupa, which transitions from a flat to a hilly course.
Forested hills and a picturesque emerald river surround it. In the 18th century, the town was transformed into a castle and now boasts a stunning neo-renaissance facade. The castle houses the Munjara Hydro, which is a cultural monument. Alongside the hydro, visitors can enjoy the city museum and an ethno-park as part of the museum experience.
