St. Euphemia’s Church in Rovinj is a stunning example of Baroque architecture and is one of Istria’s most beautiful landmarks.
It towers over the quaint coastal town and is a testament to its patron saint. Inside, visitors can see St. Euphemia’s remains in a marble sarcophagus. The church was built in the 18th century and underwent renovations in the middle of the 20th century, resulting in the addition of a Baroque-Venetian style facade. The bell tower stands at an impressive 60 meters and features a copper statue of the saint that sways with the wind’s movements.
