Karlovac

Croatia - Kvarner

Karlovac is a charming town situated at the confluence of four rivers. Its town centre is a unique six-pointed star design with an exact geometrical network of streets, town quarters, and a central square built in the sixteenth century.

There are plenty of attractions in Karlovac, such as the old town of Dubovac, built in the 13th century, the Town Museum, the Church of Presveto Trojstvo (Holy Trinity) and the Franciscan monastery, which houses a gallery. Visitors can also catch a show at the town’s theatre, Zorin Dom, or visit some of the galleries. The feudal fair in Dubovac is a must-see, where traditional crafts, customs, and games are presented, along with dishes prepared using old recipes.
