Historic colonial haciendas sit in the shadow of smouldering volcanoes. Towering, snow-capped Andean mountains drop through lush cloud forests into the steamy Amazon. On the Pacific coast, old-growth forest tumbles onto picture-postcard beaches and offshore, the natural wonderland of the Galapagos Islands continues to amaze and inspire alike.

Occupied by the Inca in the 15th century, the country’s rich heritage is still visible today. Ancient temples give a glimpse into Ecuador’s pre-history, while Quito and Cuenca showcase some of the finest colonial architecture in the Americas.
