WHY WE LIKE THIS HOTEL

The Napo Wildlife Centre is among our favourite lodges in Ecuador’s Amazon and the only lodge within the magnificent Yasuni National Park on the southern shores of the Napo River said to contain some 30% more species of animals and birds. Owned and run by the local indigenous community, the lodge holds conservation and sustainability at its very core and was constructed using natural materials topped with Amazonian thatch. The lodge is ringed with trails and all activities are led by indigenous and naturalist guides. Options range from bird-watching, nature walks and boat trips to visits to the resident clay-lick or simply admiring the captivating views from the 130 foot canopy tower. The location is second to none and the facilities coupled with the dizzying array of flora and fauna make this a wonderful option for nature lovers.
