Parnu

Estonia - West Estonia

Pärnu, the largest municipality in Estonia, spanning an area of 858 km², is a popular summer holiday destination offering a relaxed and laid-back vibe. With a large sandy beach, various restaurants, cocktail bars, and spas, it attracts visitors worldwide.

Surprisingly, Pärnu’s area is in the top 100 of the world, ahead of many big cities like Milan, Athens, and Vienna. However, despite its vast area, the population density is only 60 people per square kilometre, making it a peaceful and romantic medieval city. Pärnu is also home to numerous spas, ranging from large water parks to small historical bathhouses. The long, white sandy beaches and shallow waters make it an ideal spot for families with children. The beautiful beach promenade offers an excellent opportunity for walking, cycling, and roller skating, and playgrounds, water fountains, and play areas keep the little ones entertained for hours. For the adventurous, Pärnu offers water skiing, yachting, canoeing, or kayaking down the Pärnu River to the open sea and nearby islets.
