The MY Coral I & II are two elegant sister-ships that travel in tandem to explore the natural wonders of the Galapagos Islands.
Although the Coral I is marginally bigger – 39m as compared to Coral II’s 34m – both are warmly fitted throughout with rich teakwood and bronze and carry large picture windows to capture the wonderful island vistas.
The Coral I boasts 18 private cabins to the Coral II’s 11, and categories range from cosy standard and standard plus cabins with portholes to our pick – the Junior Cabins located on the upper decks which benefit from panoramic windows. All are equipped with air-conditioning and LCD TV’s and several of the cabins can be interconnected – perfect for families. Both ships provide an abundance of indoor and outdoor space across 4 decks including a spacious sun deck with jacuzzi, a comfortable lounge, restaurant and bar and a small library with research material.
The ships offer combinations of shorter 3 & 4 night itineraries with excursions led by the resident naturalist guides. There are daily opportunities to swim with snorkelling gear, wetsuits and kayaks available for hire.
Excellent value for money, the Coral I/II are handsome mid-size vessels in the Galapagos that strike the ideal balance between elegance, functionality and comfort. Both are sold in conjunction with passengers then carefully allocated to each vessel according to interests/family dynamics.
