Gambia - Oasis Highlights

There are so many highlights in this fascinating country that it is impossible to list them all here. Our travel consultants will discuss your interests and be able to put a specific itinerary together for you, but below are a few must see’s!

RIVER GAMBIA NATIONAL PARK

The winding stretch of the River Gambia lined as it is with a green belt of jungle riparian forest evokes the steamy Congo Basin rather than the Sahel. The centrepiece of this fantastic national park was first gazetted to protect Baboon Island and four smaller islets.

BANJUL

It’s hard to consider a more ignored capital city than the tiny seaport of Banjul. It sits on its island brooding, crossed by sand-blown streets and dotted with fading colonial structures. It’s also the least-populated capital on the African mainland.
