There are so many highlights in this fascinating country that it is impossible to list them all here. Our travel consultants will discuss your interests and be able to put a specific itinerary together for you, but below are a few must seeā€™s!

Hamburg

Exploring one of the world’s busiest ports via a boat trip is a must-do activity when in Hamburg. Afterward, take a leisurely stroll through the Old Town, characterized by its charming angular buildings, 17th-century townhouses, and unique dining and drinking spots. Don’t miss the Speicherstadt district in the HafenCity development, a quintessential representation of Hamburg and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The world’s largest collection of brick warehouses, supported by thousands of oak beams and laced with narrow waterways, is an impressive sight. And just a stone’s throw away is the iconic Elbe Philharmonic Hall, a striking landmark and concert venue.

Dortmund and the Ruhr

The Ruhr Area was once a coal-mining region in Germany but has since transformed into one of Europe’s largest conurbations and most vibrant cultural landscapes. The cities of Bochum, Dortmund, Duisburg, Essen and Oberhausen have united to create an intriguing urban area that never fails to surprise visitors. The regionā€™s 53 towns and cities share one common accomplishment: they have successfully transitioned from industry to culture. This has resulted in Europe’s most densely packed cultural landscape, featuring 1,000 industrial monuments, 200 museums, 250 festivals, 120 theatres, and three musical theatres.

Munich

Munich, Germany’s lifestyle capital, is full of heart and charm. It effortlessly balances a bustling energy with a sense of calm.
