Nuremberg

Germany - Southern Germany

Nuremberg is an impressive, exciting, and colourful city that reflects German history since the Middle Ages.

With its castle protecting it, the city was enlivened by a new spirit that provided a quality of life that few other places could match. Even today, Nuremberg and its castle still dominate the city’s skyline with the mighty fortress built around 1140 during the reign of Emperor Konrad III. The city’s historical mile concludes (or commences) at the castle, showcasing elaborately decorated churches, intricate fountains, and the Tucherschloss Museum.
