Ghana is a nature lover’s delight, with a sunny climate, and fertile well-watered soils sustaining an enchanting selection of wildlife, ranging from elephants to monkeys and marine turtles to crocodiles, as well as hundreds of colourful bird and butterfly species.
Nature is vital to Ghana, and a conservation program strives to protect their heritage and to pass it on to future generations. Not least among Ghana’s Natural attractions are palm-lined beaches extending forever along the Atlantic Coastline.
Ghana has a precious natural treasure made up of sixteen National Parks, Resource Reserves and Wildlife Sanctuaries, which are open throughout the year. Go just for the bird life, with over seven hundred and twenty-five species currently recorded. Watch out for colourful savannah birds, parrots and weavers. Be delighted with the exceptional variety of marine species inhabiting coastal lagoons.
From the savannah of the coastal plains, the dense tropical forest and the grassland of the north to the life-giving water bodies, which criss-cross the country, distinct wildlife abounds.
Moreover, for those with limited time, there is always Coco Beach, with the relaxed lifestyle we all look for, situated on the outskirts of the city of Accra.
