Hungary - Oasis Highlights

There are so many highlights in this fascinating country that it is impossible to list them all here. Our travel consultants will discuss your interests and be able to put a specific itinerary together for you, but below are a few must seeā€™s!

Budapest

Those who like picturesque landscapes and enjoy spending time in nature, favour promenades along riverbanks or fancy small streets steeped in history and romantic dinners should discover the direct vicinity of Budapest and the Danube Bend. It is meant for those who enjoy such a wide variety of sights.

Debrecen

Debrecen is Hungary’s second-largest city after Budapest, and its name has been synonymous with wealth and conservatism since the 16th century. Flanked by the golden Calvinist Great Church and the historic Aranybika hotel, Debrecenā€™s central square, Kossuth tĆ©r, sets the rather subdued tone. During summer, frequent street festivals fill the pedestrian core with revellers, and Old Town bars and nightclubs create a lively scene for night crawlers on weekends year-round.

PĆ©cs Region

With a mild climate, a grand past and several fine museums and monuments, PƩcs is one of the most lovely and interesting cities to visit in Hungary. With its handful of universities, the nearby Mecsek Hills and the lively nightlife. Lying centrally from the Danube to the east and the DrƔva to the south on a plain protected from the northern winds by the hills, PƩcs enjoys a microclimate that lengthens the summer and is ideal for viticulture and fruit production, especially almonds.
