WHY WE LIKE THIS HOTEL

This stunningly restored palace has a fascinating history, starting out as a private residence of the Maharaja of Jaipur in 1835, before becoming a guesthouse and hunting lodge. The property was acquired by the Taj group in 1957 and transformed into the super luxurious hotel it is today.

The rooms and suites at Rambagh Palace are truly spectacular featuring traditional arched stonework, textured drapes and fabrics, crystal chandeliers, gold-leaf frescoes, and large windows that open onto the gardens with captivating views of the Aravalli hills. All rooms & Suites feature regal four-poster beds, walk-in wardrobes and luxurious bathrooms, providing a lavish experience fit for Royalty!

The hotel is home to one of Rajasthan’s most acclaimed Indian restaurants – Suvarna Mahal. Its grand dining hall setting features high ceilings, gilded mirrors and Florentine frescos, combined with some of the most exquisite Indian cuisine that we here at Oasis have ever tasted! Options for more casual dining include the Rajput room and the Verandah, both offering a great range of light meals. For a pre/post dinner drink in a truly unique setting head to Steam Bar – a restored steam engine complete with a recreated Victorian style station – highly recommended.

All rooms feature a courtyard or balcony looking out to the swimming pool, fountain courts and lush gardens of the Haveli. The deluxe suites are significantly larger than the deluxe rooms and feature superior furnishings – in our opinion highly worth the small upgrade cost.
