Situated in the walled city of Jodhpur, at the foot of the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort and a stone’s throw from the Clock Tower; stands RAAS. This exquisite boutique hotel was the brainchild of entrepreneurial brothers Nikhilendra and Dhananajaya Singh who have sensitively restored the old Haveli and have added new tastefully designed modern buildings which house the hotel’s 40 rooms and suites. The original Haveli is now home to the hotel’s restaurant and communal areas.

WHY WE LIKE THIS HOTEL

The property features just 40 rooms and suites all of which feature a private balcony with the majority offering spectacular views of the fort (exception is the garden rooms). The rooms are stylish with state of the art amenities and successfully combine contemporary design with traditional Indian touches.

Facilities at RAAS include the dedicated Serena Spa which offers a luxurious range of Ayurvedic inspired modern treatments designed to pamper as well as rejuvenate. There is also a beautiful infinity style pool located in the pristine gardens, perfect for cooling off on a hot Rajasthani afternoon.

There are two main restaurants at RAAS, The Baradari which offers high quality international cuisine and Darikhana for delicious Indian fare with spectacular views of Mehrangarh fort. The rooftop bar is a stunning location to enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail whilst watching the sunset and seeing the fort light up in the night’s sky.

The only luxury hotel to be located within Jodhpurs city walls, RAAS combines old and new exceptionally well. One point just to mention is that RAAS is located next to a mosque so may not be ideal for light sleepers (ear plugs are provided). Even with this said, RAAS remains Oasis Travels boutique hotel of choice in the Blue City.

The property is home to 70 rooms which are set amongst pristine gardens around the main building. All rooms have been tastefully decorated with colourful Rajput fabrics and traditional furnishings.
