WHY WE LIKE THIS HOTEL
The 36 guest rooms are scattered around the building and courtyards, mostly on the ground floor, and have beautiful views onto the gardens or overlooking the lake. Each room is unique, boasting its own special features, and all have been charmingly decorated to an impeccable standard with distinguishing frescoes, antiques and handmade furnishings.
The property boasts a lovely open-sided restaurant, which overlooks the swimming pool and serves good continental and Indian cuisine. Most evenings, extravagant music and dance performances provide a delightful accompaniment to a poolside candle-lit dinner. There’s also a charming upstairs tented dining terrace, which is perfect for the cooler evenings from October to April.
An inviting swimming pool occupies one of the courtyards, just the thing for a hot Rajasthani afternoon! Throughout the premises there are serene gardens and courtyards perfect for an afternoons reading or relaxation. Alternatively, the striking roof terrace overlooking the lake is a great area to sit out and enjoy a pre or post dinner drink in the evenings.
There are a superb range of activities on offer from Rohet Garh including visits to the local Bishnoi tribal villages and farming communities, private picnics by the lake, guided birdwatching walks and cooking classes with the Singh family to name just a few!
A unique heritage property with a beautiful rural setting, a superb choice for those looking for a break from the hustle and bustle of Rajasthan’s cities. Highly recommended.
