Thiruvananthapuram or Tridandrum as the city is most commonly known as, is the capital of Kerala and aside from Cochin is home to Kerala’s only other airport.
Most travellers use Trivandrum as a stepping stone to the nearby beach resorts of Kovalam and Varkala, however the city does have an interesting collection of museums and temples so is certainly worth at least half a days touring.
