Located just 45 minutes drive from Khajuraho, Pench is one of India’s most accessible National Parks and fits easily into cultural itineraries around the north.
Tiger sightings at Panna are low and in fact by 2009 the park had lost all of its tigers, since then a few tigers have been re-located from other parks and the population has been increasing, however it remains rare to actually spot one. Despite the lack of tigers a visit to Panna is very worthwhile with other animals such as Leopard, chital, sambar deer and langur monkeys more regularly sighted on safari.
