This picturesque moshava semi-cooperative farming community was built at the tip of the Carmel mountain range and is a leading tourism and vacation site. From its very early days, this fantastic city had two main characteristics, wine and tranquillity.
The moshava’s founding farmers cultivated vineyards, and the great winery built here in 1889 became the area’s most important industry. Go straight to Ha-Nadiv Street, and Ha-Meyasdim Street in the town centre, now a famous pedestrian mall, where the streets are paved with stones and pass between the moshava’s original houses and bustle with activity.
