Day 2-3

Cairo

Cairo offers unlimited tour options, from the world-famous museums housing some of Egypt’s best archaeological and historical history. The Citadel, the medieval Salah-El-Din fortress, or Mohammed Ali Mosque. Not to mention The Great Pyramid of Cheops, also known as the Pyramid of Khufu. The oldest and largest of the major pyramids, The Great Pyramid was the tallest man-made structure in the world for more than 3,800 years and the Great Sphinx of Giza, which dates from the time of Chephren.

Day 4-5

Alexandria

Discover the port city of Alexandria. Stretching twenty kilometres along the coast, Alexandria was founded in 331 BC by 25-year-old Alexander the Great. To rival Rome, it is the stuff of legends and must have been a sight to behold. Explore such landmarks as Pharos lighthouse, which marked the entrance of the ancient harbour, was one of the Seven Wonders of the World, or explore the Great Library, the archive of ancient knowledge. or enjoy the beaches along the coast.

Day 6

Aswan

Aswan is Egypt’s southernmost city. From Old Kingdom times, this strategically important garrison town guarded Egypt’s southern frontier and was a base for military incursions into Nubia and Sudan. Choose to visit the High Dam or the Unfinished Obelisk or relax on a private felucca journey down the Nile if you prefer. And, of course, a day trip to Abu Simbel is always a great option.

Nile Cruise

Rainfall is rare and limited to the winter months, with an average of 1-2 inches per month.
