Day 1
Siem Reap Arrival
You will be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel for check-in.
In the afternoon visit Satcha, where craftsmen and women find a safe and clean space to work as well as receive training to further hone their talent and grow develop into artistic entrepreneurs. Walk through the serene, natural gardens and watch the artists carve stone, wood, weave baskets, paint and more while your guide explains some specific traits about each field of work and how the enterprise supports the Cambodian artists.
Next you will be transferred to the boat pier of Villa Chandara. Before dinner, take a walk along the rice terraces or find a private spot for a cocktail seated amidst landscaped spice gardens. A special dinner awaits you at a beautiful place, inaccessible to the tourist crowds. Villa Chandara is a charming private villa located just west of the ancient city of Angkor Thom. Enjoy fine dining by candlelight, surrounded by rice paddies.

Day 2
The Temples of Angkor
After an early start exploring the Angkor Archaeological Park with an early morning visit to the legendary Ta Prohm temple, left largely overgrown by jungle trees and vines making Ta Prohm one of the most picturesque and memorable of the Angkor temples. Continue to the Bayon Temple in the exact center of the city, well-known for its 54 towers with enigmatic smiling faces. The Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King are also must-visits as they are both known for their intricate bas-reliefs.
Then enjoy a lunch break at Cambodia’s first farm-to-table restaurant, Lum Orng, located in a village on the edge of Siem Reap. Here, owner-chef Sothea Seng cooks New Mekong Cuisine from Cambodia and beyond. After lunch head back to your hotel for a couple of hours relaxing at the pool or taking a nap.
Travel by “remork” to Angkor Wat, and as the only west-facing temple it is best to visit and photograph in the afternoons. Although the walk across the moat and down the main causeway can be a bit hot, the intricately carved galleries for which the temple is best known are within covered, open-air corridors providing shelter from the heat of the afternoon sun. Ascend the levels to arrive at the uppermost platform around 17:00 when there are fewer visitors. Exit the temple with the setting sun shining on the Vishnu image discovered beneath the temple’s central sanctuary — a magical sight to behold and a fitting end to exploring the temple built by King Suryavarman, whose name translates to ‘protected by the sun’.
Return to the town and head to one of the most popular cocktail bars in town, Miss Wong, unlike the hectic tourist bars that line the popular “Pub Street”, Miss Wong is an intimate cocktail lounge where you can enjoy your evening cocktail with the peaceful atmosphere (own account).
After some time there, take a short walk along the riverside to the exclusive fine dining, Embassy Restaurant where executive chefs Pol and Sok: “the Kimsan Twins” who trained under Michelin starred chefs, have created one of the most unique five-star quality dining experiences in Siem Reap. Return to your hotel after the dinner.

Day 3
Siem Reap to Phnom Penh
Fly to Phnom Penh – transfers included. In the afternoon learn about history and culture of the capital. Start with a visit to the Royal Palace with a walk through the sprawling compound. Visit the Palace’s Silver Pagoda and admire the 5,000 silver tiles that line the floors. There is also an impressive collection of Buddha images housed in the pagoda. Continue to the “Sosoro Museum of Economy and Money” which uses currency (or lack thereof) as the thread to tie more than 2000 years of Cambodian history together, using multimedia displays, bank notes and coins, and other informative and engaging displays. Then visit Wat Phnom, the hilltop temple located on the site where the city was originally established many years ago. From this vantage point, enjoy sweeping views of Phnom Penh and see the mix of old, colonial buildings and gleaming modern structures.
The final stop is the nearby Baldwin Restaurant, founded by Guy Baldwin who is a Master of creating unforgettable dining experiences. (Closed on Sunday)

Day 4
City to the Jungle
This morning explore the tragic recent history of Cambodia with a guided Khmer Rouge tour to two of the country’s most notorious sites Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, also known as S-21. Originally built as a school, the compound was taken over by the Khmer Rouge and used as its main detention and torture centre. Take a sobering tour of the site, learning about the prison’s history and hear the stories of the people held within its walls. You may have chance to meet and talk to one of the survivors who is selling his book there “Bou Meng”. Continue on to Killing Fields of Choeung Ek. This rural compound was used as an execution site and burial ground for some of the millions killed during the Khmer Rouge regime. Learn about the atrocities and brutal killings that occurred at this site. Note: All visitors to Toul Sleng Genocide Museum are required to wear modest clothing: no short pants or short skirts (knees must be covered) and no sleeveless shirts (shoulders must be covered). See-through clothing will also not be allowed.
Return to hotel before noon for check-out.
At 1pm a representative of Shinta Mani Wild will pick you up at the hotel by luxury vehicle and take you to the luxury tented camp at Shinta Mani Wild – Bensley Collection which is located between Kirirom National Park and Bokor National Park.
Upon arrival at Shinta Mani Wild’s Zip line arrival tower, there are two lines and a sky walk way that will fly down (optional) and arrive into their landing zone bar where a welcome drink will be served.

Activities for your lux jungle adventure
Free time at leisure or enjoy the optional tours available at the hotel to choose from:
Head out on patrol with the rangers from the Wildlife Alliance, a wildlife NGO dedicated to stopping and catching poachers and illegal loggers in the area. The team of rangers is funded by Shinta Mani Wild and has a base just above our tents.
Spend an afternoon on one of the custom BENSLEY designed expedition boats and explore the upper reaches of a nearby estuary. Anchor in a beautiful back water to take out the kayaks while your butler gets the barbecue going to cook up the fresh giant crabs.
Meet the chef, a master in the kitchen and an avid forager of edible Cambodian plants. Set off on a foraging expedition in our land as he shares his vast wealth of knowledge on the plants, fruits, and fungi that the forest has to offer. On your return prepare to enjoy a cooking class unlike any other.
A team of naturalists living in the Wild studying the flora and fauna has a number of hikes for all abilities to take guests on. They have several research projects going on so join in as they check their camera traps and bring the forest alive as they get carried away talking about what they love most, which ranges from Orchids and birds to animal behavior.
The Boulder Spa by Khmer Tonics offers a rejuvenating range of treatments based on traditional Khmer herbs and healing rituals to reduce stress and reset inner balance.

Day 7
Jungle to the Beach
After breakfast at the hotel a Shinta Mani’s representative will transfer to Sihanoukville province via expressway, which takes about 1.5 hours.
On arrival at the Mainland Jetty, you will be transferred by Shared Speedboat to your resort on Koh Krabey. You will arrive at the Resort after 15min on the speedboat, where a warm welcome is waiting and take a buggy to check-in at the resort lobby.

Pick up here with a local English-speaking guide and transfer to Phnom Penh approximately 3 hours’ drive with a stop on the way for refreshment on the same expressway. You will be welcomed by our representative at the Airport for express check-in.

Cambodia is hot all year round, with very little rainfall between November and April. The rains generally start in May and continue through to October, although visits are still possible, as these usually consist of only short, but heavy, downpours. This can be a good time to visit Angkor as it is when the temples are at their least busy and most atmospheric.
