Lower Zambezi National Park

Fly to Lower Zambezi National Parkā€˜s nearby airstrip, Royal. Meet and greet with transfers to Zambezi Grande. Stay for the first 4 nights at Zambezi Grande. Set on the edge of the beautiful Lower Zambezi National Park and the Zambezi River at the tail end of the Great Rift Valley. Zambezi Grande is a haven that offers guests unbelievable opportunities to experience spectacular wildlife through a range of activities, from game drives to walking safaris, from canoe safaris to boat safaris. Luxuriate in their bush spa between activities to capture ultimate mindful serenity.

Day 6-9

South Luangwa National Park

Today you will be transferred back to Royal Airstrip for your flight back to Lusaka where you will catch an onward flight to Mfuwe by the South Luangwa National Park a.k.a The Valley of Leopards. Stay for 4 nights at the gorgeous Chikunto Safari Lodge situated along the mighty Luangwa River. You will find Chikunto Safari Lodge nestled among Fever trees and Baobabs in an unspoiled and quiet part of the park. Experiences and activities include safari game drives, boating safaris and walking safaris, plus visits to the local villages, Project Luangwa charity, Conservation South Luangwa charity and Tribal Textiles shop.

Day 10-11

Ilha de Mozambique

Today you have a long journey ahead of you as you are transferred back to Mfuwe Airport. You will catch a small plane to Lilongwe International Airport in Malawi where you will connect with a flight to Nampula International Airport in Mozambique. From here you will be transferred to Villa Sands in Ilha de Mozambique! Stay for 2 nights. Villa Sands is a beautiful boutique hotel located on the western beach of Mozambique Island. Enjoy freshly caught langoustine lobsters, prawns, and fish prepared in a variety of ways. Enjoy the freedom of the ocean by taking trips with the hotelā€™s boat. Visit nearby islands with its white coral beaches, or swim in the crystal clear waters of the mangroves. You can also take trips with Ilha Blue Island Safaris, who offer boat trips, kayaking, snorkeling, whale watching, bicycle tours etc.

Day 12-15

Nuarro

Guided road transfers to Nuarro Lodge, stay for the last 4 nights of your tour. Backed by the wild Mozambican bush, fringed with old and established baobab trees to the back; and fronted by the calm and aquamarine bay of Nanatha, the lodge is peppered along a more than 2km-long, powdery-white beach in the middle. The wide variety of activities available at Nuarro Lodge will keep guests of all ages as active or relaxed as they choose! For the more active, there are all the marine excursions, which include diving, snorkeling, whale watching, dhow sailing, kayaking, board paddling and sunset cruises, just to name a few. Land lovers can enjoy a picnic on a private beach of their choice, a leisurely stroll to the nearby village, bird watching, an adventurous mountain bike road to the lighthouse, or enjoy a bush drive!

The best time to visit Mozambique is from May to October, which is the dry season. During this time, temperatures are pleasant and there is little to no rainfall. The beaches are also at their most beautiful during this season, making it the perfect time for beach holidays.

There are a multitude of add on holiday options to this Zambia and Mozambique itinerary, for example Lake Malawi is a popular spot for water sports and relaxation, and Victoria Falls is a breathtaking natural wonder that’s well worth a visit.
