Kalahari

Board your charter flight to Tswalu Kalahari. Once you arrive at Tswalu private airstrip, you will be met by a lodge representative who will transfer you by safari vehicle to Tswalu Kalahari The Motse.

The Motse is situated at the base of the Korannaberg mountains, facing westward across the grasslands of the Kalahari. Motse, which means ā€œvillageā€ in Tswana, is a collection of only nine spacious and private ā€œlegaeā€ (Tswana for ā€œlittle houseā€). To ensure an intimate Kalahari experience, The Motse accommodates 24 guests at any time.

The main house is a stunning venue for social gatherings, with its elevated decks and elegant lounges. Guests can enjoy an endless view of the savannas from the infinity pool and can indulge in total relaxation at the secluded spa. The rest of the afternoon is at guests’ leisure to enjoy the various activities on offer.

Day 3-4

Kalahari

The few days are spent at leisure to enjoy the activities on offer.

These include game drives with a private guide, vehicle and tracker per booking. Walking safaris, led by experienced field guides and trackers and horse-back rides. Gently walk the grassy plains and rolling dunes against the pink and mauve backdrop of the Korannaberg mountains in the late afternoon sun, and enjoy the views of the arid savanna whilst becoming part of the landscape.

Day 5-7

Sabi Sands

After breakfast, enjoy a shared charter flight from Tswalu Kalahari to The Fireblade Hangar, Johannesburg. Connect onto a road transfer to O.R. Tambo Airport for a scheduled flight to Skukuza Airport. On arrival, you will met and transferred to Lion Sands River Lodge.

River Lodge is the soul of Lion Sands and has been built on the banks of the Sabie River, positioned on a site with trees dating back 800 years. Facing due east, the lodge catches the sun as it rises over the Kruger National Park. Hosted by a family of staff that make it feel like home away from home, the lodge is about spirit, warmth and nature.


The public areas offers guests a private lounge and bar with fireplace, an outdoor safari lounge, two swimming pools (heated in winter), wooden viewing decks, a secluded bird hide, a magnificent River Deck built on the river, a conference room, Africology Health Spa & gymnasium, curio shop and both an indoor and open-air (Boma) dining area.

The next few days you can enjoy a number of camp activites, These include morning and evening game drives in open safari vehicles, bush walks, bird watching, astronomy, bush breakfasts, bush dinners, river walks, hippo tours, safari lunches, wildlife lectures, treehouse, boma dinners, wellness treatments, local village experiences.

Day 8-9

Johannesburg

After breakfast, enjoy a private transfer from Lion Sands to Skukuza Airport in time for a scheduled domestic flight to O.R. Tambo Airport.

Your next few days can be spent exploring the fascinating city of Johannesburg, from the Cradle of Life to Soweto.

South Africa has a temperate climate with the majority of the country experiencing warm, sunny days. The summer months (November to March) are generally hot with temperatures ranging from 20 to 30 degrees Celsius. Winter (May to August) is mild with temperatures ranging from 3 to 20 degrees Celsius. Rainfall is highest in the summer months, with the Western Cape seeing the most rain. The Eastern Cape and Northern Cape tend to be dryer.
