Day 1
Fly to Santerem & Overnight in Alter do Chão
Day 2
Welcome to the Amazon
After breakfast, you will be driven to the port to board your vessel. After meeting the crew and settling in, you will have your first chance to swim in the Tapajos River as well as visit one of the most charming and iconic villages in the entire Amazon, which boasts excellent restaurants along the coast and around a charming central square, as well as shops selling indigenous crafts.
Day 3
Exploring the Amazon Rainforest
After breakfast, we visit the Tapajos National Forest (FLONA), one of the largest conservation projects in the region which stretches over 1.35 million acres. The vessel docks at a traditional Jamaraqua community before you follow a trail through primary forest to reach the magnificent giant Samauma trees where you will enjoy a refreshing dip in the picturesque Igarapé river. Back at tghe boat, enjoy lunch and an afternoon of swimming and relaxing on the Tapajos River. In the evening, what better way tio round off the day then by heading up on deck and marvelling at the dazzking starscape.
Day 4
JARI CHANNEL & COROCA COMMUNITY
Awake at Jari Channel, an arm of the mighty Amazon River, to experience the Amazon’s famous dawn chorus. From here, the cruise continues towards the dark waters, lush forests and white sandy beaches of the Arapiuns River, an area famous for its pink river dolphins. In the afternoon, we head ashore to visit the Coroca community, dedicated to sustainable tourism and maintaining their traditional heirtage. In the evening, enjoy a special dinner which celebrates the authentic flavors of Para cuisine.
Day 5
SAO MARCOS COMMUNITY
Today you visit the small village of Sao Marcos and learn about the production and milling of cassava, one of the staples for the surrounding forest comminities. Then it’s back to the boat to relax and enjoy a final afternoon on the beach. As evening falls, the crew will be waiting to prepare caipirinhas with local fruits, serve traditional and irresistible snacks, or set up a hammock in the shade of a tree. Enjoy a farewell dinner on the beach featuring freshly caught and grilled “Piracaia”.

Return to Santarem for onward connections
