Day 2

Springdale

Depart Las Vegas this morning and transferred three hours to Springdale, just minutes outside Zion National Park. If time permits, enjoy a guided hike in Snow Canyon State Park, known for its petrified dunes, sandstone cliffs, and ancient lava flows. Or relax at your lodge for the night.

Day 3

Zion National Park

Watch the sandstone cliffs of Zion National Park catch fire in the sun before exploring this unique desert ecosystem. Slot canyons, shady alcoves, and hanging gardens line the walls of Zion Canyon in the heart of the park.

Experience this fantastic place on a private guided tour of Zion National Park. Your guide will lead you through the park, hiking to incredible lookout points and interpreting the park’s flora, fauna, geology, and history as you go. Take in Zion’s spectacular rock formations, including the Three Patriarchs, Cathedral Mountain, and Checkerboard Mesa. Zion’s sedimentary rock layers continue to be eroded by the forces of wind and water, revealing the iconic red and coral hues of the Southwest. Enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch along the way. And as you travel the canyons and plateaus, watch for desert bighorn sheep and California condors.

Day 4

Bryce Canyon National Park

Wake up with the sunrise for an early morning drive to Bryce Canyon National Park for your privately guided tour. The National Park is home to some of the continentā€™s most intricate and detailed geological treasures. Itā€™s a scenic wonderland as orange, red and tan hues paint the landscapes of pyramidal towers, forests of rock pinnacles called hoodoos, and more. Stop for a picnic lunch among a grove of 2,000-year-old bristlecone pine trees, and then continue to the best viewpoints the park offers. Enjoy a picnic lunch before your driver-guide whisks you to your next hotel just outside Capitol Reef National Park.

Early Mormon travellers were dazzled by the red rock landscape in what is now Capitol Reef National Park, and this unique part of southern Utah continues to amaze visitors today. Travel through slot canyons and lift your eyes to rugged cliffs capped by smooth white domes of Navajo sandstone. Step back in time with intimate views of petroglyphs and historic orchards that still bear fruit.

Day 5-6

Capitol Reef National Park

Meet your private guide at the Lodge for an action-packed day of adventure, including hiking tailored to your skill level and an offroad 4×4 this morning for a full-day Jeep & hiking tour through the Cathedral Valley area of Capitol Reef National Park.

Set in the south-central desert, the park surrounds a long wrinkle in the earth called Waterpocket Fold, with layers of golden sandstone, canyons, and fantastic rock formations. Witness several impressive sights, including the Bentonite Hills, Gypsum Sinkhole, Upper/Lower South Desert, Temple of the Sun, and Temple of the Moon. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the field.

Day 7

Goblin Valley & Arches National Park

After an early breakfast, check out of your hotel and depart with your driver-guide for a three-hour transfer journey to Moab. Stop along the way to explore Goblin Valley, State Park. The park features thousands of hoodoos, referred to locally as goblins, which are formations of mushroom-shaped rock pinnacles. Itā€™s also been the filming location for several major movies depicting otherworldly locations.

Then, proceed to Moab, the adventure hub at the heart of Southeast Utahā€™s canyon country. With a lively local arts scene, endless activities, and two national parks, Moab may be the highlight of your journey.

This afternoon, your experienced and knowledgeable private driver-guide will take you on a tour of Arches National Park. An Instagram-worthy site, the Park features the greatest concentration of natural stone arches in the world, offering spectacular displays of the natural forces of erosion at work. Your guide will take short walks to some of the most spectacular structures and unusual geologic formations. Learn how these dazzling rock formations came to be and about the people who inhabited this area over 1,000 years ago.

After a day of exploration, check into your accommodations, a luxurious retreat amid the majestic Southwestern desert, and enjoy a red rock sunset and relaxing evening at your leisure.

Day 8

Colorado River

This morning, rendezvous with your river guide for a full-day rafting trip on the Colorado River. This proposed Wild and Scenic River is isolated from modern civilisation. Westwater Canyon is a canyon of serene solitude surrounded by red sandstone spires. The river cascades through the ever-deepening sandstone monuments and into the narrow Black Granite Gorge. Here, the river meets opposition from the canyon walls, creating fast and furious rapids such as Funnel Falls, Last Chance, The Steps, and the infamous Skull Rapid that give Westwater its reputation as one of the most exciting rafting trips on the Colorado. A picnic lunch is included.

Day 9

Canyonlands National Park

This morning, meet your driver-guide at the Ranch for a private half-day tour of Canyonlands National Park. Visit terrain where 1,000ft cliffs and the carving Colorado River take centre stage. Three hundred million years of Earth’s history is written in the multicoloured, infinitely varied rock layers, and your guide can interpret the events as they lead you on hikes to some of the most spectacular structures.

Then, itā€™s off to Salt Lake City to check into your hotel. Bordered by sparkling, buoyant Great Salt Lake and the imposing, snow-capped Wasatch Range, the populous capital of Utah still manages to exude a small-town feel.

Day 10

SaLT lAKE cITY

ā€¢ Explore the beautiful grounds of the Temple Square. Temple Square is the Mormon Temple, which took 40 years to build (1853-1893). Experience the peace and tranquillity of the Square with a complimentary tour of Utah’s most visited attraction. Tours are available throughout the day in 40 different languages. Then, spend the afternoon soaking up this inviting cityā€™s ambience and exploring the nearby restaurants and shops.
