The capital of Wadi el Taym, Hasbaya is a vast fertile valley extending on the western slope of Mount Hermon, where a large part of Lebanon’s history took place in its castle.
The Castle belonged to the Chehab Princes and comprised a group of structures surrounding a main unpaved square 150 meters long and 100 m wide. Other structures date back to the Middle Ages, and there is also a mosque to compete the complex.
