Afriski is one of only two ski resorts in southern Africa, located 3222m above sea level in the Maluti Mountains, operating in Southern Africa near the northern border of Lesotho and South Africa.

The resort is a 4.5-hour drive from Johannesburg or Pretoria via the steep tarred Moteng and Mahlasela pass. The resort can accommodate about 250 people and offers a 1km ski slope, plus a beginner’s slope and operates during the winter months (Juneā€“August). The New Oxbow Lodge is nearby, and Afri Ski rents skis and boots. There are three slopes and two ski lifts, while several alternative activities are on hand in the summer months.
