Pangkor Laut is a privately owned island located three miles off the West Coast of Malaysia along the Straits of Malacca. Travel to the resort is via a 3 hour drive from KL followed by a speedboat to Pangkor Laut or if you really want to arrive in style take a helicopter journey from KL’s Subang Airport. You will find no other resorts on the island only peace and tranquility.

WHY WE LIKE THIS HOTEL
The accommodation is spread out in the northeast corner of the island. The different styles of bungalow include hillside and garden villas which are housed in double storey units, whilst the beach villas are stand alone units just steps away from the beach. Sea Villas stand elegantly on stilts over the sea and are linked by wooden walkways; these villas are the signature feature of the island.
There is a choice of 6 restaurants and bars to chose from, all of the highest quality. Food is core to any stay at Pangkor Laut, ingredients not available on the island are all freshly delivered on a daily basis for the chefs to create local, Asian, and Western dishes. There are also numerous options for romantic private dining. There is a lot to keep guests busy, should you so desire, including cooking classes, batik courses, yoga, tai chi, fishing and water sports.
The Spa Village is a unique retreat that extols the healing cultures of the region. For those really serious about taking a dedicated spa break there are 22 Spa Villas situated over the sea offer that direct access to the Spa Village facilities.
This is one of Oasis Travels favourite resorts in the region. Even when the resort is fully booked, and it often is, it never feels at all crowded as it is the only resort on the island and the layout is cleverly designed with privacy a key consideration. The food is wonderful and the spa has won pretty much every award going. You will probably regret not staying at least a week!
