Nicknamed ‘small Switzerland,’ Ifrane has a diverse landscape as well as a climate more lenient than elsewhere and is home to the largest cedar forest in the world, Ifrane National Park.
Located in the Middle Atlas mountains, Ifrane is an oasis of freshness and superb greenery: lakes, fountains, the scenery surprising and regenerating for the lovers of landscapes. Water sources and lakes abound in the heart of a forest of cedars, and the chalets with their sloping roofs will remind you of Switzerland.
The source Vittel and its waterfalls constitute a walk along the river to discover the maple and poplar forests that flow down the waters of the spring. It is also a rural region and has an experimental station for the study of animal behaviour.
