Launched in 2009 on the back of the success of the Delfin I, now an exclusive 4 berth floating hotel, the Delfin II is a charming, wooden riverboat which offers cruises along the mighty Amazon River.
The MV Delfin II honours the traditional style of the Amazonian river boat with elegant, rich wooden beams combined with a warm modern, contemporary finish. There are handsome communal areas, indoors and out, including an entertainment centre, library and a generous shaded observation deck, all spanning three decks and featuring original artwork. There are 14 simple yet elegant staterooms on 2 decks with large picture windows for sweeping views of the surrounding rainforest. The 4 spacious master cabins (as pictured) are at the front of the boat offering wonderful 180° panoramic vistas. Four cabins are inter-connected, ideal for families.
The formal dining room overlooks the water and reflects the classic riverboat experience serving a mix of contemporary regional and international cuisine. Each cruise also hosts a “wellness specialist” and massages can be ordered on request.
The riverboat offers fully inclusive 3 and 4 night cruises up into Pacaya Samiria National Park, 5 million acres of pristine rainforest. Guests head out each day accompanied by expert guides to explore the local wildlife by foot or on one of the Delfin’s 3 aluminium boats. Kayaks are also now available to guests – a wonderful way to explore the waterways! The MV Delfin II offers an elegant cruise experience in the heart of the remote Amazon wilderness.
