The MV Aqua Nera was launched in late 2020 to accompany sistership MV Aria in offering unique cruises along the headwaters of the mighty Amazon River.
Designed by award-winning architects Noor Design, the Aqua Nera draws inspiration from the Amazon’s mystical black water lagoons and combines stylish contemporary décor with a refined elegance that harks back to the era of the rubber boom and colonial glory of Portugal and Spain. Inside, generous communal areas are dressed with polished beams, ebony tones and neutral furniture bound on all side by huge floor-to-ceiling windows that bring the light and views into every corner of the vessel. The 20 air-conditioned cabins (including 4 interconnecting suites) are spread across two decks and boast an abundance of space – almost 30 square metres. The décor oozes style and sophistication and sinking into the sofa or chaise long, it is hard to drag your self away from the captivating window views that run along the length of the staterooms.
No less impressive is the cuisine, and you can enjoy a menu designed by one of Peru’s leading chefs Pedro Miguel Schiaffino that showcases the Amazon’s wonderful seasonal produce. The MV Aqua Nera offers 3,4 and 7 night itineraries along the Amazon River into the breathtaking Pacaya Samiria National Park, Accompanied by expert naturalist guides, guests can experience the unique communities, flora and fauna and cultural significance of the Amazon by foot or by small motor skiff.
