We had a fantastic trip and could not have been more happy with Oasis organisation. The trip was seamless, with absolutely no issues what so ever (apart from the flight issue when we left Peurto Maldonado.

Constructed in 2012, the Queen Violeta is a comfortable 174ft Amazon River Boat which runs 3 and 6 night cruises from Iquitos up towards the natural wonderland of the magnificent Pacaya Samiria Natural Reserve.
Spread across three decks, the Queen Violeta boasts an abundance of space both inside and out and is wrapped in rich wooden beams that evoke the traditional river-boats of old.
There are 16 on-suite outside cabins divided between decks one and two; all simple yet perfectly comfortable. All cabins are air-conditioned and have hot/cold water and benefit from large picture windows which enable guests to drink in the wonderful jungle views.
The ship offers a hearty mix of national and international dishes served buffet style in the main dining room.
During each cruise, guests head out on daily excursions by land or boat depending on the season accompanied by experienced local guides. In addition, there are visits to local communities and talks on board to introduce clients to the flora, fauna and indigenous culture.
Do note that the ship has been stripped of modern technology such as internet, phones and TV’s to allow guests to disconnect completely.
The Queen Violeta is an excellent budget option in the Amazon. True it lacks the modern comforts, style and technology of other contemporary vessels yet the service, guides and itineraries are first rate.
