WHY WE LIKE THIS HOTEL

Opening to the public in 2006, the Casa Andina sits at an almost breathless 3800m above sea-level and is linked to the town via its own train station. Its construction reflects its “altiplano” highland roots and takes good advantage of the area’s natural materials, from its clay tiles and wooden beams to rendered adobe brick and stone. Just above the water, a spacious sun terrace allows guests to relax and admire the view, perfect after a day out on the lake. The Casa Andina Private Collection is in a prime position on the water’s edge and in easy reach of the lakes main attractions. A short distance from the bustling local town, it represents a good mid-range option in Puno though does cater to groups.
